Portrait of Dancer

10" x 12" pastel on dark grey Canson paper
I am getting better at the proportions of heads and faces...still rather  bad at whole figures. Oh well.

  1. Hi Leslie,
Your pastel composition of the dancers head and the subtle tones in her skin are really beautiful. I love painting and creating art too. Come to my blogsite sometime for a visit.
    Bye,
    Richardson.

  2. This is good! The proportions are basically spot on. Good job! Check out local figure drawing sessions. Many art leagues and guilds have them. You can drop by, pay 10-15 dollars and sketch a live model for a few hours. Its great practice. If you'd like, you can check out my art blog. Happy painting!

  3. Thanks for your comments. I am in one sketch club...but they are in Malden...so I really have to stoke myself to get in the car and negotiate Boston rush hour traffic. I think your response may inspire me.
