19" x 12" pastels on elephant grey Canson paper
I am not so certain I like working on this color...but it may be all I have for tomorrow. It does yield a certain glow and it isn't as harsh as black paper.

The color of the paper definitely makes the subject pop. If you lightly color the paper it may reduce the flatness, which pulls attention away from your wonderful flip flops. Very nice!
