An acquaintance pointed out a problem with the original drawing (proportions of the candle stick were glaringly wrong. Also played with the textures. I think this is as good as it will ever be.

As a graphic designer, I have always had a hand in some sort of visual endeavor, however, painting has been a bit of a luxury.
